Our Story

Jim & his wife, Deana, started their family and their construction company in Michigan in 1989. In 2007, after 22 years of success, they moved to the beautiful Nashville, Tennessee area where their family & business has grown and flourished. Jim noticed it was hard for the average Joe to find not only a wide variety of cabinet options, but also the ability to work with a quality contractor. If he wanted high-quality, well-known, manufactured cabinets, he had to send his clients to the big box stores to purchase, where they paid far more than he felt was necessary. So, DIY Cabinets Inc. was born! Jim cut out the box store mark up on the same name brands and partnered with Masterbrand to provide Diamond, Mantra and Wellborn cabinetry lines for his own remodeling business and anyone else who prefers to get the quality that comes with having small, family-owned, business practices for their cabinetry design and purchase experience.
